I am very happy with it - the quality is outstanding, nice blankets made in USA in Oregon. They keeps us warm at night, but no overheating. It is little on the scratchy side, but nothing I wouldn't expect from wool - I actually expected it to be more scratchy. I use them with duvet cover, so either way, it is not a problem for me. I haven't washed it yet, cannot comment on that part. Red/Blue color is gorgeous and vibrant, perfect for a guy. Pink plaid is pretty too, though colors are way more muted.

It's not itchy, and the wool weight feels substantial! The colors are a bit darker than what is pictured on the Amazon description, but that's not a deal breaker.
Another deciding factor, in the purchase of this blanket, is that it is MADE IN THE USA!!
As a bonus, it's machine washable.
I hope to purchase more from Pendleton!! Excellent, quality products!

It didn't give us the warm and fuzzies buying sight-unseen. DOH!
There are lots of choices with pricing all over the place. We wanted something 'natural' ie; wool. In the end it came down to where it was made and ease of care. The recognizable brand name didn't hurt either ...
We are very pleased with our choice, it's not soft like fleece or cashmere, but we didn't expect that - besides - who cares - it goes between the top sheet and bedspread. I do miss the binding on the edges of the blanket, but again we knew up-front that it wasn't there, and again, once the bed is made, outta sight - outta mind.
