It's nice, but..., June 3, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Newpoint Microplush Corduroy Full/Queen Comforter Mini Set, Chocolate (Kitchen) Pros: This comforter is a very pretty chocolate color and didn't lose its color in the wash. The microplush corduroy on the top is so, so soft. It doesn't attract much lint or anything either, which is a bonus.
Cons: I've only had it for a month and already there are threads coming loose from the stitching around the squares. The underside of the comforter is kind of scratchy and unpleasant to listen to when you move at all underneath it. Why even make scratchy bedding?
Ultimately, this was good for the price. However, given the choice, I wouldn't buy it again. I think it's going to be designated to the guest room.

beautiful but not quite as expected, May 20, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Newpoint Microplush Corduroy Full/Queen Comforter Mini Set, Black (Kitchen) While this really was a beautiful comforter, I thought it would be a very black color, more like the picture. The color was darker than a charcoal but a little lighter than a true black. Also, if you have a pillowtop mattress, it will probably be a little short. Mine didn't quite cover the mattress all the way around. Although plush, soft and well-made, it wasn't quite what I needed/ wanted so I had to return it. Would definitely recommend if color difference isn't an issue and might suggest king size for your pillowtop mattress.

Size is good for my king bed, and it is definitely worth the price. My only reason for not giving it a higher rating is that it doesn't breathe. That's not surprising with a synthetic backing, but even when it isn't really warm we wake up a bit sweaty. Also, the backing is slick so it slides off the bed easily without a blanket underneath. Should be better in the winter!
