Not comfortable but pretty, April 10, 2008 This review is from: Pinzon Hotel Stitch 400-Thread-Count 100% Cotton Sateen Duvet (Kitchen) I ordered the duvet cover and shams. They are packaged as a no-name product with no info - the packaging does not say anything about the thread-count or anything else about the material that you would expect from a quality product. It only says "Pinzon sheet set", the size, and made in China. The fabric was rougher than expected, and I buy a lot of bedding. I do not believe this was 400 thread-count and was not a sateen weave either. I sent them all back. If you're not fussy about how they feel, however, they were pretty and true to color description.

This whole set are disappointed. They are not only rough, but also oversize. Feels totally different from the other 400 thread products I brought. How dare this claim to be a 400 thread count products.

We recently made the switch from queen to king size bed, and I would say that this duvet cover (and matching pillow shams) are my favorite from of our latest batch of bedding purchases. I love the stitch detailing and the fabric is silky soft - I think it's comparable to our higher 800+ thread count sheets. Some people have gotten confused because the picture is somewhat misleading - you only get the duvet cover - not a duvet itself, and matching items (sheets, pillow shams, etc) are sold separately. Still, I would highly recommend. The price has actually decreased since I bought mine, so I'm considering getting a second set.
